ISLAMABAD: The Hotels and Motels occupancy remained 100 per cent in Galyat, Ayubia, Donga Gali, Changla Gali, Northern and other hilly areas from last five days of Eid ul Fitr due huge influx of domestic tourists.

Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that Pakistan has great potential for adventure tourism.

He said that this year was different and proved to be a big boost for Pakistan Tourism Industry as large numbers of domestic and foreigner’s tourists are visiting the northern areas from the start of summer season.

He said that PTDC has taken many new initiatives such as upgradation of motels and tourists information centres in order to deliver the public and to facilitate tourists.

He said that Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments also launched special police tourism squad to guide and protect the visitors at Murree, Galiyat and Swat.

Thousands of tourists witnessed in Murree, Galiyat, Kaghan, Kumrat, Malam Jabba, Naran Kaghan and Northern Areas during the Eid holidays.
