A meeting of Gomal University's Academic Council held here with Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Mohammad Inayatullah in the chair approved the establishment of Seraiki Department in University. Publicity Officer of University, Mohammad Fazal-ur-Rehamn told Sunday that the meeting took various decisions of significant importance that would not only bring remarkable changes in educational and research activities but would also enhance the existing capabilities of students studying in the university.
He said that academic council has approved the post graduate classes of Seraiki in the university adding necessary directives have been issued to the concerned for starting the classes in September this year.
He informed that meeting also concurred to bring parity in educational system and approved preparing of University's Academic Calendar. He said that the meeting also abolished tests of National Testing Service for admissions in M Phil and PhD classes and decided to conduct entry test for the said classes through a questionnaire compiled by the university.
