Algeria has granted neighbouring Tunisia $200 million in aid, including a $100 million deposit to the central bank to shore up reserves and another $100 million in loans, an official with the Tunisian prime minister's office said on Sunday. With its nascent democracy advancing after its 2011 uprising and new elections due later this year, Tunisia's government is focussing on its economic stability and turning to international partners for financial aid.
