KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 23,474.12 points with a positive change of 67.59 and volume of 86,656,300 shares. High and Low were 23,714.81 and 23,359.79 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 18 were up, 11 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 196,268,300 shares. Total companies traded were 364 of which 196 were positive, 156 were negative and 12 were unchanged.

Investment Banks/investment Co was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 42,427,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 29,003,250 shares.

The top three advancers were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,429 (45.01), Hinopak Motors Limited with a volume of 640 and price per share of 1,098 (23.50), Murree Brewery Company Limited with a volume of 650 and price per share of 774.33 (20.59).

The top three decliners were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 120 and price per share of 8,454.05 (-444.95), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 3,000 (-58.67), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 1,036 (-52.89).
