AC records statement of prosecution witness in reference against Dar

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad Wednesday recorded the statement of a prosecution witness in a reference against former finance minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar for having assets beyond known sources of income.

Prosecution witness Sher Dil Khan, who was a director of National Assembly, deposed before AC Judge Muhammad Bashir in the reference against the former finance minister filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The witness informed the court that he appeared before the investigation officer at NAB Lahore office on August 22, 2017 and shared the record of Dar’s salary and allowances with him.

To a question by defence counsel Qazi Misbah, the witness said he has shared Dar's record pertaining to the period 1993-1996.

The case was adjourned till May 9.
