Court dismisses Nawaz, Maryam’s week-long exemption request

An accountability court dismissed on Friday exemption requests of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and daughter Maryam Nawaz from the ongoing corruption cases filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Nawaz and Maryam, who are in London to see ailing Kulsoom Nawaz, had filed an application asking to be granted a week-long exemption. However, while granting them exemption from today's hearing, Judge Muhammad Bashir has dismissed the week long exemption request, local media reported.
While speaking to the media in London, Sharif said that he wanted to spend time with his wife and asked everyone to pray for her recovery.
Maryam on Twitter posted a photo of her mother in a wheelchair being taken for radiotherapy.
Ami being taken for radiotherapy. Has become weak & frail due to excessive vomiting. Can't walk or move unaided. Prayers needed. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/e52uKY36ns
