KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 25,281.24 points with a negative change of -11.35 and volume of 74,543,900 shares. High and Low were 25,364.67 and 25,098.53 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 15 were up, 13 were down and 2 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 147,469,820 shares. Total companies traded were 365 of which 187 were positive, 157 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Chemicals was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 25,855,170 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 19,152,650 shares.

The three top traded companies were Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited with a volume of 12,869,500 and price per share of 39.41 (1.04), Unity Foods Limited with a volume of 10,616,500 and price per share of 27.83 (-0.18), Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited with a volume of 8,456,500 and price per share of 11.07 (0.16).

The top three advancers were Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 3,184.99 (150.99), Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 260 and price per share of 12,600 (89.00), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 1,958 (58.00).

The top three decliners were Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 855 (-45.00), Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Co. Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 495.37 (-26.06), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,040 and price per share of 1,670 (-19.40).
