CAIRO: Egypt's current account deficit narrowed to $3.4 billion in the first half of the 2017/18 fiscal year from a deficit of $9.4 billion in the same period a year earlier, the central bank said on Thursday.
The overall balance of payments registered a surplus of $5.592 billion compared to a surplus of $7 billion in the same period a year earlier, the statement said.
