Wheat growers demand Govt assistance

ABBOTTABAD: The farmers and landlords Thursday demanded of the provincial government to announce assistance for them as they could not grow wheat due to drought.

The farmers and landlords said that due to dry spell and insufficient water in natural streams they could not grow wheat crop in the season, adding that several landlords planted sapling sunder billion tree tsunami campaign of KP government but due to insufficient rain most of the sapling were dried.

They demanded of the provincial government to declare district Abbottabad as calamity hit and announce financial assistance.
