SAO PAULO: The Brazilian government on Monday will announce a new auction of seven licenses to operate ports with tenures of 25 to 35 years, newspaper Valor Economico reported on Monday.
According to the report, which cites an unnamed presidential aide as its source, the government will auction five licenses to operate port terminals in the northeastern states of Pernambuco and Paraiba and two licenses to operate terminals in Brazil's largest port, Santos.
Press aides to the presidential palace did not respond to requests for immediate comment.
