Days after Galaxy S9’s launch, Samsung’s new Galaxy S10 rumors surface

Where Samsung’s recently launched S9 and S9+ were already in news, Galaxy S10 rumors have started making rounds that the new phone will come in with Face ID and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Samsung’s latest flagship came in with numerous features, however, one feature that it lacked was the 3D front camera that was seen in Apple’s iPhone X through which a 3D image could be captured to unlock the phone. As per rumors, this feature, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor will be incorporated in Samsung’s next Galaxy S10.

Reports from South Korean news outlet, The Bell, pointed out that by partnering with 3D camera startup ‘Mantis Vision’, Samsung will introduce 3D sensing camera technology on its 10th-anniversary smartphone that will probably be called Galaxy S10. Mantis Vision will also be partnering with camera module maker ‘Namuga’ that at present supplies Samsung with camera modules for its low-end and mid-range smartphones.

Furthermore, reports also hint that the next Galaxy smartphone will come in with an in-display fingerprint sensor similar to the one introduced in Vivo’s latest smartphones, which was previously expected to be featured in the forthcoming Galaxy Note 9 but, will not anymore.

According to Phone Arena, back in January, the South Korean company mentioned that ‘the company is closely working with 3D sensing solution developers for new growth opportunities’. The new Galaxy S10 will also reportedly feature new 7nm chipset and 5G connectivity.
