Samsung’s Galaxy S9, S9+ launch event in Pakistan amazes people
Samsung’s latest flagships, the Galaxy S9 and S9+, were launched weeks ago and few days ago were available for pre-orders in Pakistan until now when they were officially launched in the country at their event.
Yesterday, on March 15, Samsung held its launch event in Lahore where the company officially launched the two latest smartphones in the country. The event, held at The Nishat Hotel, was hosted by Cybil J. Chawdhry and Faizan Haqqee and ended with an amazing performance by Rachel Viccaji.
The launch event was attended by many familiar names including model Aneesa Sharif, famous vlogger Shahroz, make-up artist Zoya Nasir and more. The attendees were able to experience the smartphone first-hand and enjoy its new features including AR emoji, the ‘re-imagined’ camera, super slow-mo, low-light camera conditions and more.

Y.J Kim, President Samsung EC Pakistan took to stage and officially unveiled the smartphone. “I would want everyone to enjoy this exciting event with extreme experience.” Umer Ghumman, Head of Mobile Business Samsung Pakistan, further explained other features of the smartphone such as the iris-scanner locked with the facial recognition. “We have re-imagined the camera and built the phone around it. This is an amazing phone with AR emoji, super slow-mo and low-light camera. Don’t miss it because it has a new version of Bixby as well.”
Moreover, Haroon Tarar, Head of Corporate Marketing Samsung Pakistan also took to stage to talk about the brand philosophy. Also, by the event’s end, a lucky Samsung member even got to win the latest Samsung Galaxy S9.
After the event, the stage was taken over by musicians ‘Quadrum The Percussionists’ and later by popular singer Rachel Viccaji who set the stage on fire with her voice by singing songs including ‘Shape of You’ by Ed Sheeran, ‘Bolo Bolo’ by Sajjad Ali and also a Michael Jackson’s number.
Reports suggest that the official Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ prices in the country would be Rs 103,000 and 114,000 respectively.
