Karachi King coach Mickey Arthur is left frustrated after it was learnt that superstar all-rounder Shahid Afridi has injured his knee and would be missing out the action of Pakistan Super League (PSL), becoming the latest player to join the growing injured list.

The injury of the superstar came as a major blow for the Kings, which have been the leading side in the tournament so far, winning all their three games consecutively.

“It's very frustrating,” Arthur explained, quoted Express.co.uk. The coach informed that Afridi felt ‘something in his knees’ during the warm-up session.

“The adrenaline goes away in the dressing room. Afridi is going for an MRI tonight. He felt something in his knee during the warm-ups,” said Arthur.

The Pakistani superstar went on to apologize to his fans, for missing out last night match against Multan Sultans. The match however, was called off due to rain.

“My apologies to all my fans who came to watch me play today,” Afridi wrote on Twitter. “Getting an MRI done for my knee. Need your prayers. Will get back soon Inshallah,” he added.

Afridi is among the leading wicket-takers in the ongoing PSL, picking up six scalps in three matches and has also been economical as well.
