Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, who had resigned from the office of Senior Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister following some differences with Shahbaz Sharif, called on PML-N chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence and reposed confidence in the PML-N leadership.
During the meeting, Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa discussed his reservations and Nawaz Sharif assured him that he would not let anyone treat him unfairly, sources in the PML-N said. The meeting was also attended by Shahbaz Sharif, Rana Tanvir Hussain, Ahsan Iqbal and Raja Ashfaq Sarwar. Sources claimed that Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa explained the reasons that forced him to resign from the office of the Senior Adviser to the Chief Minister.
On the other hand, PML-N leadership also expressed their views over Sardar Dost Khosa's actions: he addressed a press conference against Shahbaz Sharif. After the meeting, PML-N Punjab Secretary-General Raja Ashfaq Sarwar told reporters that Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa was a veteran party leader and his misunderstandings had been removed. He said Sardar Zulifqar's resignation from the post of Senior Adviser to the Chief Minister had not been accepted and he would resume his office soon. He said differences were part of political culture and they were not personal.
Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had played a key in striking a reconciliation with Sardar Khosa. Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa resigned from all political offices citing differences with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while his son, Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa, had also tendered his resignation.
