The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) on Monday restored the business of former Senator Enver Baig on the directives of Islamabad High Court (IHC). Jan Mohammad and Sons - a recruiting agency, well reputed family business of former Senator Enver Baig, has been sending skilled and unskilled labourers abroad since 1943, was shut down by the bureau on baseless charges.
The charges were so weak that the IHC restored the business, when Baig filed a petition, praying the court to help him out as he is being punished for nothing. The IHC in its order maintained that the restriction of Jan Mohammad and Sons business was beyond the scope of the bureau and based on mala fide intentions.
When contacted Baig, a close confidant of late Benazir Bhutto, who has recently joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N, confirmed that the bureau has sent him a letter as per directives of IHC to restore the business which was shut down on June 13. When asked to comment on the restoration of his agency, Baig in a light tone said: "All is well that ends well".
