LAHORE: Members of Assembly belonging to different districts called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that we are humbly thankful to Allah Almighty for historic victory in Lodhran. Instead of serving the masses, the elements involved in sit-ins have wasted their time on levelling baseless allegations.
The performance of claimants of change is totally zero with regard to development and the people have paid them in the same coins by holding accountability of u-turn, lockdown and dharnacracy. On the contrary, we consider public service as a sacred cause and historic steps have been taken for national development and prosperity of the people.
Similarly, unprecedented steps have been taken to develop the southern Punjab where billions of rupees have been spent on a number of development projects and ongoing development schemes are being completed speedily to benefit the people.
He said that he and his team are burning the midnight oil for public welfare and made it clear that he will never deviate from the mission of public service.
The chief minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government believes in practical steps instead of hollow sloganeering and every step is being taken for welfare of the masses. The government is implementing a practical agenda to improve the quality of life of the masses.
The Chief Minister said that he is personally supervising the progress on every project of public welfare adding that every moment of his life was meant for public service and he worked hard for public service. The journey of public service is being accelerated despite impediments, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the PML-N government has served the people from the core of its heart and maintaining peace, elimination of energy crisis and putting the country on the road to development are bright examples of public service.
On the other side, the enmity of the elements doing sit-ins and the politics of anarchy and chaos is fully exposed before the people.
The opponents will continue to indulge in sit-ins and creating hurdles but we will continue to move forward the journey of development with full commitment.
The PML-N government has brought a revolution in social sector and the welfare agenda has been successfully forwarded by bridging the gap between the poor and the rich and ensuring judicious distribution of resources, concluded the Chief Minster.
Those who called on the Chief Minister included Members of Assembly Rao Ajmal, Alam Dad Lalika and Sultan Haider MPA.
