KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 24,453.85 points with a positive change of 7.03 and volume of 144,946,400 shares. High and Low were 24,476.56 and 24,158.71 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 12 were up, 18 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 225,631,890 shares. Total companies traded were 377 of which 178 were positive, 179 were negative and 20 were unchanged.

Engineering was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 26,321,300 shares. It was followed by Textile Composite with a total traded volume of 23,069,100 shares.
