As the duo brethren countries (Pakistan and Japan) celebrate their 60th anniversary of bilateral relations, Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) takes enormous pride in its character acting as a bridge connecting the two governments and its populace.
Our role as implementing agency for Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) has increased manifolds since its inception in 1954 when we first extended bilateral assistance to Pakistan. Ever since we have implemented Technical Co-operation, Grant Aid and ODA Loans projects which surely have positively impacted the lives of the masses in Pakistan.
We are pleased that both the countries have extended mutual co-operation to each other in difficult times such as natural disasters in Pakistan in 2005 & 2010 and in Japan in 2011. We at JICA Pakistan realise that enforcement of the international co-operation is demanded more than before, and we are working with a fresh feeling every day. We will make maximum efforts at JICA Pakistan Office in understanding the responsibility to promote the partnership between Pakistan and Japan.
