At least three persons including a minor boy lost their lives in separate incidents in different parts of the metropolis here on Tuesday. According to rescue sources, a minor boy was crushed to death by a speedy passenger bus while his father sustained injuries near Sultan Mosque Malir-15 in the limits of Malir City police station.
Gul Ahmed Khan and his son Mohammad Hassan Khan, 8, were going to somewhere on a bicycle, when a speedy passenger bus (JA-6356) knocked them down. Resultantly, Hassan died on spot while his father sustained serious injures. The responsible driver managed to flee while police impounded his vehicle. The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities. The victim was the resident of Gulshan Qadir Railway Colony and was student of a seminary. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A young man lost his life while crossing railway track at Qazafi Town Landhi in the limits of Landhi Railway police station. The victim was identified as Ansar Gul, 30 son of Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Muzafarabad Colony, Landhi. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities.
A drowned body of a man was recovered from a water filter plant in Bin Qasim in the jurisdiction of Steel Town police station. The victim, Ameer Jokhio, son of Dost Mohammad Jokhio, was the resident of Shatil Jokhio Goth, Bin Qasim. Police said the victim was mentally ill and went missing on Monday. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities where doctors declared suffocation as the cause of his death. Later the body was handed over to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this the report.
