University of Peshawar (UoP) has announced fully funded scholarships for the teachers of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences to pursue higher studies (M. Phil, Ph. D) within Pakistani universities. The scholarships have been announced as part of Human Resource Development component of the project, 'Strengthening of University of Peshawar'.
One scholarship each has been allocated for Department of English, Anthropology/ Sociology, History, Gender Studies and Political Science. Two scholarships announced for Education and Social Work Department. Three scholarships for the Department of Philosophy and Law and four for Fine Arts students.
The scholarships include maintenance allowance of Rs 1500 per month for a maximum period of four years during study leave, tuition fee, honorarium to supervisor and book allowance for the scholar. The scholars are required to submit their applications through proper channel along with relevant documents latest by April 30, 2012, directs a notification of Directorate of Planning and Development, UoP.
