Sindh Food department's 388 centres would start wheat procurement from April 10 to meet 1.3 MMT target of wheat procurement crop-2012, while the support price by provincial government was fixed as Rs 1,050 per 40 kgs, Business Recorder has learnt here on Monday. Food department had established 388 wheat procurement centres throughout the province.
A senior official of Food department told newsmen that 5,000 MT wheat would be procured from Hyderabad (Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan), 1,90,000 MT from Dadu district, 5,000 MT from Thatta district, 10,000 tonnes from Badin district, 80,000 MT from Mirpurkhas district, 1,40,000 tonnes from Sangher districts, 75,000 MT from Larkana, 20,000 M Tonnes from Shikarpur, 75,000 MT from Jacobabad, 1,30,000 MT from S Benazirabad, 120,000 MT from Nausheroferoz, 1,60,000 MT from Khairpur, 1,70,000 MT from Ghotki while 70,000 MT will be procured from Sukkur district.
