Morocco's state-run cereals authority ONICL on Monday said it has bought 74,500 tonnes of barley as authorities seek to cushion the impact of drought on livestock breeders. ONICL said it paid between 3,200 dirhams ($380) and 4,050 dirhams per tonne for the barley which should be delivered 75 days after that April 4 tender date. Rabat has suspended import duties on the commodity to ensure adequate supplies to the drought-hit country.
