Comprehensive plan for modern education is being implemented: minister
Minister for Education Punjab, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that the provincial government is implementing a comprehensive programme for providing modern educational facilities to the children and all out co-operation as well as assistance is bring provided to the private schools.
He said that Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) was providing grant and scholarships to the private educational institutions and students as the private educational institutions were performing a valuable service in the field of education. He said that Daanish School project was a revolutionary step of the Punjab government, which would not only minimise the divide between the rich and the poor but the children of the poor parents would also be able to acquire modern education and play their due role in national development and prosperity.
He expressed these views at the inauguration ceremony of international standard school, Harbanspura. Director Mian Muhammad Naeem and the school principal also addressed on the occasion.
The minister said that the network of Daanish Schools would be spread to the whole province as this programme of the Chief Minister Punjab would not only help in this direction but also open up new avenues of progress & development whereas the poorest students would also avail modern education facilities through the project of Daanish School.
The minister said that Daanish schools would spread knowledge in every nook and corner of the country and would remove poverty and ignorance from backward areas and a new era of progress and development would set in. The minister said that government was implementing a comprehensive programme for providing modern educational facilities to the children.
He said that government schools had been given the status of English medium schools last year while Punjab government had also lunched a vigorous campaign for primary enrolment and millions of children had been given admission in the schools so far due to this campaign whereas the government was giving emphasis on the teachers training and funds had been provided to the department concerned for this purpose.
