Jamiat Talba Islam, a student wing of (JUI-F) has expressed grave concern over lack of educational facilities in the Fata regions and demanded of the government to take pragmatic steps for brining Fata at par with other developed areas of the country. Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday JTI Fata President Qari Mohammad Umer Betani said that due to lack of educational facilities in FATA the students had the only option to hold weapons in their hands instead of pen and books.
"I belong to the Frontier Region Lakki and know well about the backwardness there but the government is least bothered to develop the hitherto neglected areas," he claimed and added that most of the people in Fata were poor and could not afford the expenditures of education even in the government institutions. He demanded of the government to stop the self finance scheme in the institutions and reduce the ratio of fee so that all the people alike could get education.
The JTI leader also condemned the killing of innocent people in the drone attacks and described the practice as extremely inhuman on part of the United States. He said that it was duty of our government to ensure protection to the lives and properties of our people across the country.
