Activists of Pakistan People's Party on Sunday staged a demonstration and burnt the effigy of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to vent their anger against his objectionable language about Asif Ali Zardari.
The demo was organised by PPP (Human Rights Wing) and was led by Saleem-ur-rehman Mayo. Participants shouted slogans against the PML-N leadership. PPP activists said that Punjab Government was responsible for lawlessness, price hike, extortion and high handedness of Police. They alleged that entire province was made a police state where opponents were being victimised.
