Three more killed

The spree of targeted killings continued in the city as three more persons fell victims in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Wednesday. According to the police, the first incident was reported at New Preedy Street where four alleged bandits killed a passer-by and injured a motorist over resistance.
Alleged bandits intercepted Asif Ali, 27 while driving a Hi-Roof and tried to loot him. When Asif offered resistance, the bandits opened indiscriminate firing on him. Resultantly, he and a passer-by Saleem, 60, son of Khuda Bux, sustained bullet wounds. They were shifted to hospital where Saleem succumbed to his injures.
The police claimed that they had arrested one of the alleged bandits namely Owais and recovered a TT pistol from his possession while the other accused namely Sabir, Shahid and Sohail managed to flee from the spot. The deceased was residing in Chakiwara Lyari while Asif was a carpet vendor at Saddar Market. The body was handed over to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A bullet-riddled body of a youth was found from Parsi colony in the remits of Soldier Bazaar police station. The body of the victim Raees, 28, son of Rafiq was found near garbage drum in Parsi colony. The police said the victim was hit by a bullet on his head and he had several torture marks on his body. They said the identification of the victim was made with the help of CNIC card that was found from his pocket. They said the victim was employed at a chicken shop in Kharadar and went missing since Tuesday night.
A case 84/12 was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of Abdul Hameed and moved the body to hometown Hyderabad. Yet another bullet-riddled body was found near Chandni marriage hall in the limits of Korangi police station. The victim was identified as Azhar Ali son of Akhtar Ali, who was said to be alleged bandit and was killed by his other accomplices while looting a passer-by Salman. The police said the injured Salman was shifted to hospital.
