Meeting of KU academic council held

The Academic Council of University of Karachi has allowed its students of BS (programme) Part I, II and III to get their enrolments changed into Bachelors (Honour Programme). It was decided in the meeting of Academic Council of University of Karachi, held recently.
Professor Dr Abid Hussnain was elected as representative of BASR with 72 votes in the meeting. The meeting also endorsed the minutes of last five meetings of the council besides it also endorsed the minutes of last eight meetings of Board of Advance Studies and Research (BASR).
The meeting also endorsed the changes in schedule of M.Phil, Ph.D. MS, and MD programmes of University of Karachi. The report to expand the faculties of varsity was rejected besides it also refused to support recommendations to merge Area Study Center into Karachi University and give it membership of BASR, Syndicate and Academic Council.
