Car lifters' gang held

A gang of car lifters widely involved in crime across the province was nabbed here by police. Briefing the journalists, tehsil Liaqutpur's Pakka Laran police said they caught Altaf Hussain, Shaukat Gopang and their accomplice Sumera who admitted car involvement in car theft cases in Bahawalpur, Jalapur Pirwala, Rahim Yar Khan etc where they rented cars and snatched them from the drivers at gunpoint.
The police also claimed to have arrested two proclaimed offenders Mohammad Ali Baloch and Shahnawaz alias Shana and recovered unlicensed weapons and two stolen bikes from their possession.
