Gas shortage: Engro Fertilizer suspends operation

Engro Fertilizer Limited was shut down Friday night due to gas shortage. "The new Fertilizer plant of our 100 percent owned subsidiary, Engro Fertilizer Limited, was shut down late Friday night, after Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) informed the company that due to curtailed supply from some gas fields and in order to manage the demand and supply position, they are discontinuing gas supply to the plant," Engro Corporation, in an information sent to Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday said.
"SNGPL has said that they shall endeavour to resume the gas supply as soon as the position improves," it added.
