The Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Monday visited Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Ministry of Defence in London. The CoAS held meetings with senior civil and military leaders including Minister of State for Defence, Nick Harvey, National Security Advisor, Sir Kim Darroch, Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Mark Sidwell and Chief of Defence Staff, General Sir David Richards.
According to ISPR press release issued here, the meetings provided opportunity for a candid exchange of views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest including bilateral defence co-operation and current situation in Afghanistan. Earlier, the CoAS was presented a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of The Horse Guards at the Horse Guard Parade.
