At least three persons were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis, here on Wednesday. According to police and rescue sources, a 60-year-old man was killed by his relative in the limits of the Sukhan police station on early Wednesday.
The incident took place at Cattle colony No 3, Azam Town where the accused Mohammad Nasir barged into the house of Haji Mir, 60, and beaten him to death with an iron rod. After committing the crime, the accused person managed to flee, leaving the victim in a pool of blood. Police shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities. Police said the motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A decomposed body of a man was found from the Surjani Town area. Police said the identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained while they found the body from an deserted place located in Sector 38-B of Surjani Town and added the deceased received fatal bullet wounds on his upper torso. Police shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where it was taken to Edhi morgue till identification.
Registration of the FIR was pending at the police station till filing of this report. Yet another man was shot dead on resistance during robbery bid in the limits of Liaquatabad police station. Police said the victim namely Ahmad Ali son Mohammad Ali, who along with his spouse was going to meet relatives at Liaquatabad No 9, was intercepted by the bandits.
They said the deceased offered resistance when the bandits tried to snatch gold ornaments from his wife. Resultantly, he was sprayed with bullet and died on spot. The body was shifted to ASH and later moved to his residence located in Rizvia. No case was registered till filing of this report.
