The Lahore High Court on Tuesday rejected the bail of a former MPA, Aslam Madhiyana, who had razed the legs of a teacher, Nafees Khan. Earlier, the counsel of the applicant contended that Aslam is neither involved in the incident nor was present at the occasion. He said that the applicant is being involved only to victimise politically.
The investigation officer, however, informed the court that his presence at the incident has been proved and he is also involved in the incident. The prosecutor general, Punjab, also informed the court that his official record is not good and he is involved in the incident and prayed to the court to decline bail to the applicant. The court after hearing the parties at length rejected his bail, however, applicant was not present in the court room.
