The 40th session of the National Assembly earlier scheduled for March 12 will now be held on March 14 due to Commonwealth Parliamentary Association's (CPA) conference in Karachi, it has been learnt. The President had summoned the last session of 4th parliamentary year of the National Assembly on March 12, 2012 but now it would be held on March 14.
According to sources in the National Assembly Secretariat, most of the parliamentarians will be attending the Conference starting from March 12, 2012 in Karachi. The conference and NA session are starting the same day co-incidentally, therefore the National Assembly session would now be held on March 14, 2012. It is to be mentioned here that the CPA conference is being held in Pakistan from March 12 to 16 in Karachi.
