Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday directed all the Model Customs Collectorates to remain open on Saturday, as normal working days in order to facilitate the trade and industry in getting their cargo cleared for imports and exports. It also directed all the large taxpayer units (LTUs), regional tax offices (RTOs) and Model Customs Collectorates (MCCs) to remain open on Saturday as normal working day.
These offices were directed remain open late till 10.00 pm on Wednesday ie February 29 (the last day of the month) to facilitate the taxpayers in submission of their returns and taxes. The State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan will provide banking facility at their designated branches on February 25 and keep the designated branches open till 10.00 pm on February 29, to accept payment of duty and taxes. The Port Authorities and port operators would also synchronise their working, accordingly, according to FBR notification.-PR
