The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to restore double pay package or special allowance of tax officials, who were made Officers on Special Duty (OSD). Sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that the decision had been taken in the last meeting of the Board-in-Council. To achieve this end, the FBR has revised the Human Resource Management (HRM) policy of the Board.
According to the FBR, HRM Director General made a presentation on some issues being faced in implementing the announced Internal Job Posting Policy of FBR during Board-in-Council. The Board-in-Council has also taken another decision regarding employees in the field formations posted at FBR headquarters. It was apprised by the members that some of the field formations are staff starved. Therefore, it was decided that all the field staff members posted at FBR (HQ) should be posted back to their respective field units including large taxpayer units (LTUs) and regional tax offices (RTOs), sources added.
