PACP organises workshop on rational emotive behaviour therapy

PU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that there was a lot of raw talent in Pakistan but there is a lack of the people who could nourish them. He was talking to the certificate distribution ceremony of a three-day workshop organised by Pakistan Association for Clinical Psychologists (PACP) on Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy with collaboration with Centre for Clinical Psychology.
The VC urged the students to make all efforts for creation of new knowledge as it was the best quality of human being. He said the university had the potential to become one of the best universities of not only the region but the world. The resource person of this workshop was Dr Saima Salman, Clinical Director, Rational Living Inc. New York and Singapore. Saima Salman is a world renowned Clinical Psychologists with world fame. Dr Nashi Khan, President, PACP talking to media said that this workshop aimed at training of Clinical Psychologists with new Clinical Skills to treat psychiatric and emotional problems. Dr Mujahid Kamran appreciated the joint efforts of Pakistan Association for Clinical Psychologists and Centre for Clinical Psychology.
Vice-Chancellor also congratulated the Director, Professor Rukhsana Kausar for the success of this Certificate Course at CCP. While World Quality Day has been celebrated at Punjab University. The purpose was to raise awareness about the most updated approaches to quality systems and processes through an evaluation of their impact on human life.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran chaired the event. Professor Dr Aamir Ijaz, Director Quality Enhancement Cell delivered the opening address. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran said that quality depended upon the quality of society and human behaviour. He said that honesty, expertise and all the things depended upon the spread of knowledge. He said that there was dire need to strengthen our industry, agriculture and business. He urged the rulers to allocate at least four percent of the GDP to education sector and patronise research. He appreciated the effort and said that such events are extremely helpful in raising the quality of education system and he stressed on a never-ending quest for quality-based improvements. The collaborators of today's event were Institute of Quality & Technology Management, Quality Enhancement Cell of Punjab University and Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation.
