Issuance of driving licences: traffic police to start special service for LCCI members
Lahore Traffic Police will start soon a special service for LCCI members for issuance of driving licences from premises of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. SSP City Traffic Police Syed Ahmad Mobeen said this while talking to LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh here on Wednesday at an award giving ceremony arranged by LCCI Standing Committee on Paper and Paper Board Traders to pay tributes to the best performers in different private and public sectors.
DIG Traffic Ghalib Ali Bandesha, Captain Usman Khattak (Retd), SSP Traffic Faisalabad Sardar Asif Ali were also present on the occasion. Syed Ahmad Mobeen said that a committee comprising Lahore Traffic Police officials and LCCI Executive Committee members would also be formed to give final touches to this mega project aimed at facilitating all the members of the Lahore Chamber.
Initially the service would be started on weekly/monthly basis but later on its scope would be extended keeping in view the response of the business community. He told the participants that city traffic police was putting in its best efforts to keep vehicular traffic on the move. It is providing necessary assistance to the government in the removal of encroachments, which are the biggest hurdle in the flow of traffic.
Speaking on the occasion, the LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that appreciation to the best performers always promotes excellence in all walks of life and the Lahore Chamber would continue to play its role to this regard for turning Pakistan into a hub of business and economic activities. He said that the liaison between police and the business community was a must and the Lahore Chamber was giving a special attention to increase liaison with police. Meanwhile appreciation shields and awards were distributed among the police officers.
