Subdued business was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Monday due to lack of buying interest among retailers, experts said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new Bardan were up by Rs 5 to Rs 2690-2705 in process of trading, gur inferior type lost Rs 200 to Rs 4600 and superior quality was down by Rs 100 to Rs 5500 and Khandsari followed same pattern, falling sharply by Rs 500 to Rs 7000, other items retained the weekend levels, they added.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 2850 and the best quality held the last level at Rs 3050, they said. Grams items held the overnight levels in the absence of proper demand, they said.
