The fourth 5-day International Neuro-intervention and Therapeutic Workshop held at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) played a great role for bringing knowledge and experience of Pakistani doctors at par with medical experts prominent at international level.
This was expressed by Professor Dr Tariq Salahuddin, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and LGH in a message to the participants of the workshop on its conclusion. He said that such workshops prove to be a great source of interaction between Pakistani and foreign medical experts and hence provide opportunity to Pakistani doctors to keep themselves abreast with modern research and new trends of medical science.
The Chief Co-ordinator of the workshop, Dr Umair Rasheed said in his winding up comments that modern equipments are being installed at department of Neuro Radiology, which would be helpful for saving the patients from paralysis in case they are shifted to the hospital within 6 hours after the attack. He said that the facility of brain angiography at LGH has become very helpful for the treatment of Neuro patients. The workshop was attended by foreign medical experts including Dr Henry Adapon from Philippines, Dr Parkon from Thailand and Dr Hussain Shah from UAE.
