Port Qasim's activities

A cargo volume of 147,541 tonnes, comprising 112,370 tonnes of import cargo and 35,171 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 3,377 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 112,370 tonnes includes 58,938 tonnes of furnace oil; 11,000 tonnes of palm oil; 16,810 tonnes of canola seeds; 9,305 tonnes of chemicals and 16,317 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 35,171 tonnes includes 2,236 tonnes of rice and 32,935 tonnes of containerised cargo. One container ship namely CV CMA CGM Wagner sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MT Synnove Knutsen sailed out to sea on Saturday morning. A total number of seven vessels CV CMA CGM Wagner, MV MSC Catania, MT Bunga Kantan Tiga, MT Kition, MT Synnove Knutsen, MV Afamia and MV Paiute are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, canola seeds, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
As many as four ships namely Al-Salam-II, Victoria Kosan, Chem Pegasus and Bow Jubail with diesel oil, ethyline, palm oil and phosphoric acid respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. A total number of three vessels viz MT Victoria Kosan, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Chem Pegasus with ethyline, diesel oil and palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Saturday. Note: Karachi Port's activities not received on Saturday.
