Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) held its 14th Annual General Body Meeting on Thursday in Karachi, which was attended by all the major advertisers of Pakistan. Some of the important industry issues were discussed and the agenda for 2012 was proposed to the members.
The AGM also marked the end of two-year tenure of the current council and the office bearers. The election for the new council for the term 2012 and 2013 were also part of the proceedings. The newly elected council comprises of 13 members. Fuad Chundrigar, Vice President Marketing, Engro Foods was elected as the Chairman of the Society. Naveed A. Khawaja, Chief Operating Officer, English Biscuit Manufacturers and Shabeeh Ikram, General Manager, Johnson & Johnson were elected as Vice Chairman and General Secretary respectively.
Other representative members on the Executive Council include country managers and marketing heads from local and multinational companies like Habib Bank Limited, National Foods, Procter & Gamble, Mobilink, Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Tapal Tea, Unilever Pakistan, Telenor and Burj Bank.-PR
