KARACHI: Sindh Governor Mohammed Zubair Wednesday handed over a cheque of Rs500,000 on behalf of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to Ali Mohammed for the treatment and another cheque of the same amount for Jati Press Club.
According to a statement, the Governor, on the occasion, said that the provision of basic health facilities was top priority of the government and in this regard, the prime minister during his visit to the province besides the announcement of development package also distributed the health cards among the poor people for the treatment of different diseases.
He said that special importance had been given to the health sector in the prime minister’s development package.
He further said that all possible steps were being taken for the provision of health facilities and special attention was being paid towards medicines, x-ray, laboratories and other facilities in the hospitals. Meanwhile, Governor Zuabir, also, handed over a cheque of Rs500,000 to President of Jati Press Club Abdul Razaq Lohana.
MPA Amir Haider Shah was also present on the occasion. The Governor appreciated the role of media for strengthening democracy and its continuity in the country.
