MQM has caused wave of awakening across country: Altaf

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the relentless struggle of his party has sent a wave of awakening across the country. He said this while talking to the officials and workers of MQM Multan Zone and various districts in the Multan Zone Office of the party via telephone, said a statement issued by his party here on Saturday.
Altaf said that the time was near when the feudal system and hereditary political culture would be wrapped up from the country. A genuine leadership from the poor and middle class would play its role in solving the problems of the people after reaching the corridors of power, he said. Hussain said that the revolution is usually construed as a positive change.
He said his party wants to change the oppressive feudal system with a healthy and vibrant system. He said that the majority of the people living in the country were held hostage by this outdated system gripping the country. The MQM was striving to break this status quo in order to get the rights of the dispossessed and oppressed people, he added.
He said that the common people could only hear about the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies. They could never hope and think of actually becoming a member of these centres of power in the country, he maintained. He said that the MQM was the only political party that had changed the traditional political culture by bringing educated and honest people hailing from the poor and middle class alongside the feudals in the assemblies.
Hussain said that it was due to the Grace of Almighty Allah that the public was beginning to understand the philosophy and ideology of his party whose constant struggle had caused a wave of awakening across the country. He said that the only way to bring a revolution in the country was to elect the people who are facing problems so that they could enact laws for the benefit of the general public instead of legislating for a select few.
He said that the MQM had been demanding the creation of a Seraiki province from the very beginning. It had always been the part of his party's manifesto, he added. The MQM chief said that his party would do away with the inequitable education system from the country after coming into power so that a promising child from a poor family might also aspire for higher education.
He said that the public would get employment opportunities, and basic health facilities would be made available in every town and village of the country. He said that the struggle of his party would reach its destination, and tyranny and oppression would end. Official of the Multan Zone briefed Altaf Hussain about the preparation underway in connection with the upcoming public meeting of their arty in Multan on December 23.
