On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened at 8,634.90 points and after remaining in green for a little more than one hour after market opening it fell and remained in red thereafter with downward trend. It touched the intra-day high of 8,718.72 points and low of 8,434.13 points, and closed at 8,469.85 points with a net negative change of -165.05 points, or -1.91 percent lower than previous close.
The volume was 32,104,984 shares, which was 84.77 percent of KSE All share volume and 99.46 percent of KSE-100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 37,871,702 shares, and KSE-100 volume was 32,278,131 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index Closed at 2,236.94 with a net negative change of -15.49 points or percentage change of -0.69 and turnover of 6,424,171 shares.
BR Cement Index Closed at 579.70 with a net negative change of -15.14 points or percentage change of -2.55 and turnover of 2,545,358 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,658.08 with a net negative change of -1.98 points or percentage change of -0.07 and turnover of 1,587,895 shares. BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 255.75 with a net negative change of -2.87 points or percentage change of -1.11 and turnover of 2,417,197 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,604.11 with a net negative change of -7.4 points or percentage change of -0.46 and turnover of 1,131,562 shares.
