A protest demonstration was held by the Islamic Students Federation of Pakistan on Torkhuman-Peshawar Road against the Nato's brazen attack on security check-posts in Mohmand Agency here on Sunday. The protestors chanted slogans against US and Nato troops, and termed the heinous attack was a direct assault on the country's sovereignty.
The participants also paid a rich tribute to the martyrs of incident and held their sacrifices in high esteem. Speaking on the occasion, the President of the Islamic Students Federation of Pakistan, Muhammad Rizwan, Nazim Khyber Pakthunkhwa Noor Muhammad Noorani and others said such kind of inhuman attacks were unacceptable and would not be tolerated.
They said, it would definitely affect the peace process in the region and might cause a counter-product in the fight against terrorism. While they supported the Government's decisions for suspending lines of Nato supplies, ordering to evacuate Shamsi Airbase and boycotting Bonn Conference.
They categorically applauded the government for taking such bold steps that reflects peoples' aspirations.
The incident had sparked the widespread anger about the Nato, US and ISAF forces in Pakistan and undoubtedly a shameful violation of Human Rights as well, they added.
