Handing over OPF Valley possession letters to allottees big success

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Mr. Abdul Rehman Kanju Tuesday said handing over of possession letters of OPF Valley Housing Scheme Zone-V, Sector C to allottees was a big success of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation.

“It was a long-awaited dream of allotees of the housing scheme which has been realized,” he said addressing a ceremony to hand over possession letters to the allottees.

The minister said the present government attached great importance to the welfare of overseas Pakistanis.

He said five allottees, who would complete construction of their houses first, would be given cash incentives.

The ceremony was attended by over 200 people from all walks of life, including the allottees, OFP officials, property consultants, business community, and investors.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Secretary Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development appreciated the efforts of OPF in ensuring timely completion of the housing scheme.

Highlighting the new initiatives taken by the OPF, Jehangir Minhas, Member Board of Governors of OPF, said in order to improve residential facilities, six blocks of apartments would be constructed. High standard schools would also establish their branches in the OPF Valley, he added.

OPF Managing Director Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani said till date 16 housing projects had been completed while 10 were underway.
