Australian and New Zealand dollars hold gains

The Australian and New Zealand dollars held on to recent hefty gains in a quiet session on Friday, ahead of the closely-watched US non-farm payrolls report and an event-packed week in Australia. The Aussie dollar stood at $1.0221, barely changed from late New York levels. Still, it was on track to gain more than 4 percent this week. Resistance for the Aussie is found at the week's high, which is also the 61.8 percent retracement level of the November decline. Support is seen at $1.0200.
The New Zealand dollar drifted up to $0.7802, from New York's $0.7781, and was up about 4 percent this week. It climbed to a two-week peak of $0.7824 on Wednesday.
