KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Tuesday at 23,670.37 points with a positive change of 362.83 and volume of 90,988,700 shares. High and Low were 23,869.95 and 23,307.54 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 22 were up, 8 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 160,883,230 shares. Total companies traded were 357 of which 227 were positive, 115 were negative and 15 were unchanged.

Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 22,873,150 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 20,091,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (A) with a volume of 15,752,500 and price per share of 5.72 (0.37), Faysal Bank Limited with a volume of 11,661,500 and price per share of 24.19 (0.47), Dewan Cement Limited with a volume of 8,475,000 and price per share of 22.32 (1.02).

The top three advancers were Bhanero Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 850 and price per share of 881.95 (41.97), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 4,440 and price per share of 2,132.65 (39.92), Sapphire Fibres Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 850 (37.50).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 10,500.02 (-399.98), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,880 and price per share of 1,342.01 (-52.85), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,580 and price per share of 1,843.39 (-49.69).
