Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) on Friday informed that currently three vessels, carrying a total of around 120,000 tonnes of urea, MV Grate Mary carrying 27,500 tonnes, MV Medi Lisbon carrying 47,334 tonnes and MV Dubai Ambassador carrying 45,000 tonnes are under discharge at Gwadar Port.
According to a press release issued here, six more vessels carrying around 200,000 tonnes of urea, (i) MV Lancelot carrying 49,500 tonnes, (ii) MV Magic Orient carrying 19,995 tonnes, (iii) MV Poavaosa Wisdom carrying 24,403 tonnes, (iv) MV Master carrying 22,624 tonnes, (v) MV Ocean Galaxy carrying 320,000 tonnes and (vi) MV Lycavitos carrying 51,996 tonnes are under voyage and scheduled to arrive during the next week on different dates.
With the arrival of above shipments the arrived quantity would work out to around 400,000 tonnes against the total contracted quantity of 700,000 tonnes being imported by TCP under the directives of Government. The process of cargo discharge as well as lifting and transportation of urea by National Fertiliser Marketing Limited (NFML) is underway, round the clock. As per shipment schedules received, the balance around 326,000 tonnes would also arrive by the end of December 2011. However, TCP is vigorously pursuing the suppliers to further expedite the supplies.-PR
