Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 131,453 tonnes of cargo including 95,538 tonnes of import; 35,915 tonnes of export cargo and 5,758 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 24 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 95,538 tonnes comprised of 33,848 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 1,776 tonnes of b bulk cargo and 59,914 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo. The total export cargo of 35,915 tonnes comprised of 34,105 tonnes of total containerised cargo and 1,810 tonnes of b bulk cargo.
There are five vessels namely Al-Mirqab, Torrens, MOL Wind, Urubhum and Hyundai Confidence carrying containers, general cargo and containers respectively were sailed out to the sea during the reported period of 24 hours of business activities on Tuesday. There is only one vessel namely Caribbean Sea is currently occupying the berths at Karachi Port to load/offload containerised cargo during the business hours. A total number of three vessels namely Al-Nouf, Y M America and Caribbean Sea are expected to sail out to the sea on Tuesday. While another vessel namely Greenwich Bridge is expected to sail out to the sea on Wednesday.
Three are four vessels namely President Jackson, Greenwich Bridge, Liberty Promise and WOlong Song carrying containers and vehicle carriers respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday, while there are three more vessels namely Kota Arif, manila Express and Marcampania carrying containers respectively are expected to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of cargo volume of 70,867 tonnes including 63,534 tonnes of import; 7,333 tonnes of export cargo and the total 157 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) were handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Tuesday.
The total import cargo volume comprised of 63,534 tonnes including 37,891 tonnes of furnace oil; 430 tonnes of diesel oil; 7,052 tonnes of palm oil; 625 tonnes of chemicals; 1,554 tonnes of project cargo; 3,584 tonnes of canola seeds; 1,355 tonnes of phosphorus and 11,043 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the business activity hours of the port.
The total export cargo volume comprised of 7,333 tonnes including 2,110 tonnes of cement and 5,223 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the reported period of the activity hours on Tuesday. There are three cargo vessels namely M V Wolong Song, M T Golden Ambrosia and M T Chembulk Jakarta sailed out to the sea on Tuesday.
A total number of seven vessels namely M V Fisher-K, M V Zeynep-K, M V Wolong Song, M T Golden Ambrosia, M T Chembulk Jakarta, M T Battery Park and M T Guana Raba are currently occupying the berths to load/offload cement, canola seeds, project cargo, chemicals, palm oil, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Tuesday.
There are three vessels namely M T Chemroad Hope, M V Sunrise Wisteria and C V CMA CGM Mozart carrying palm oil and containers respectively after loading/offloading are currently to line up at the outer anchorage respectively on Tuesday. The total number of three vessels C V CMA CGM Mozart, C V Al-Farahidi and M T Chemroad Hope carrying containers and palm oil are due to take births at Container Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Tuesday. While three more vessels namely C V MSC Roberta, C V CMA CGM Rossini and ACX Habiscus carrying containers are expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
